Sad Tattoo Stories

Remember this story?

Well I left out a part of it. We ended up having to have our dog Lola put down. It was a very hard decision. She did not mean to bite Mindy's finger off. However, due to the fact that she was an escape artist and that she had a dog aggression I could not risk her getting out and hurting someone else trying to break up a dog fight. We tried to find a rescue group that would take her, but it didn't work out.

Anyways, the tattoo shop I go to is doing this really awesome thing this month. For a $10 donation they will give you  a small dog or cat themed tattoo. All of the money they raise will be donated to the local animal shelter.

Mindy and I went in on Thursday and got this in memory of  Lola.

We got it on our shins because that is where she always used to headbutt us.

  1. :( Sad ending to the story. But cool tattoos. That's awesome of the shop to do that. The shin? I imagine that hurt a bit?

  2. Sorry to hear about Lola, the decision to have a pet put down can be one of the hardest things a person ever has to do. :(

However, those are really cool tattoos, which shop in Knoxville is doing them? The reason I ask is because one of my friends owns a tattoo shop in east Knoxville called Alchemy Tattoo :).

    1. Vivid Tattoo on Sutherland is the doing the tattoos. In October, they do pink ribbon tattoos for $10 and donate the money to a local cancer center.

  4. Aw, I am so sorry about Lola :( My dog is my best friend, I couldn't imagine losing him. At least you'll have a nice reminder of her with you all of the time.
