St. Patrick's Day Sucks.

Saturday is my least favorite working day of the year. St. Patrick's Day is pretty much the bane of my existence. Everyone is wearing the same color. The bar is so busy that there is  no room to walk. Most people get white girl wasted and act like asshats.

The night is neverending. Its just a constant loop of cleaning up puke, stocking alcohol, kicking out douche canoes, selling wristbands, yelling at people, pushing people out of the way and on and on and on.

A couple of years ago, there was a huge bar brawl at the very end of the night. That super sucked.

So when you go out drinking this Saturday, please be extra  nice to the bar employees.

I'm sure I will have entertaining bar stories on Sunday.

  1. Because I recognize I have the capability to get white girl wasted and I believe the 4% Irish in me makes me a certified Leprechaun and because I like to make out with strangers who are equally as trashy wasted as I am, I am doing everyone a favor and staying in and watching horror movies instead. I'll end up enjoying myself more and I won't contract herpes of the mouth. Good luck to you!

  2. My hat's off to you for working in a bar on a holiday like St. Patrick's Day...I can't even imagine. I think I would be so annoyed by the end of the night that I would be the one initiating a brawl.

  4. I don't drink, so bartenders don't hate me. As a matter of fact, they don't even know I exist.

    1. Its better. If we know someone by name, its most likely because we hate them

  5. Boston is not an awesome place to be on St. Patrick's day. I'm scared.

Aren't you in charge over there? Don't you get to decide when to work?
Though I imagine if you weren't there, the chance of a 2am phone call from the local fire chief would be likely.

  6. St. Patrick's Day is a major factor why I am no longer a bartender. Can't handle it. I don't even like being IN a bar on St Patty's. Good luck to you tomorrow!!! I hoep it doesn't suck too much.
