The Universe Wants Me to be a Taxidermist.

I am so excited right now that I can barely stand it.

I just found out that one of my friend's step-dad is a taxidermist!! My friend, Brent, is going to take me to meet him soon. I can't wait to learn all about taxidermy and how awesome it is.

Also, there is a new show starting this Thursday on Animal Planet called "American Stuffers." It is all about a taxidermy shop. I started watching clips of it last night and I can't fucking wait.

Another one of my awesome friends, Heather, sent me an article on Walter Potter. He did all this weird taxidermy back in the day. (And by back in the day, I mean the 1800s)

He did stuff like this. That is a squirrel country club, in case you were curious.

And the icing on the cake is that Mindy pre-ordered me

It doesn't come out until February 1st, but I am still so fucking stoked about it.

Oh and I decided the name of my taxidermy shop.

  3. Cocktease....wow. The name is going to be "Mountin' Mean." It is a reference to one of my favorite songs.

  6. I am so excited for you! That's awesome! Then I am totally hiring you to stuff all the animals I shoot. But no polar bears... I don't want you to cry.

  7. Gia- I am definitely going to have a no polar bears policy. Although, since I live in Tennessee I doubt anyone will be bringing me a polar bear anyways.

L-Kat- You will definitely get the super friends discount.

  9. ... I so, so, so want the dead miniature squirrel teacup party set-up.

I have always been mildly fascinated with taxidermy. Especially when who have pieces all over their house drape them with Christmas ornaments during the holidays.

Jas- I like the squirrels because that is what I envision live squirrels doing in trees.
